Warranty Agreement
This Warranty Agreement (this "Agreement") is entered into as of effective_date (the "Effective Date") by and between:

customer_name ("Customer").
1. Covered Product/Service
1.1 Product Identification
This Warranty applies to the following product or service (the "Covered Product"): product_description, purchased by Customer from Warrantor on or about the Effective Date for a purchase price of purchase_price.

2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 Limited Warranty
Warrantor warrants that the Covered Product shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions for a period of warranty_period from the Effective Date (the "Warranty Period"). During the Warranty Period, if the Covered Product fails to perform substantially in accordance with its published specifications due to a defect in materials or workmanship, Warrantor shall, at its sole option, repair, replace, or issue a credit for the defective Covered Product as described in Section 5.
2.2 Scope of Coverage
This Warranty covers:
(a) Defects in materials used in the manufacture or assembly of the Covered Product;
(b) Defects in workmanship, including improper assembly, faulty components, or manufacturing errors;
(c) Failure of the Covered Product to perform in accordance with its documented specifications during normal use;
(d) Pre-existing defects that were not reasonably discoverable at the time of purchase; and
(e) Component failures that occur during normal use within the Warranty Period.
2.3 Performance Standards
The Covered Product shall perform substantially in accordance with the specifications, documentation, and user manual provided by Warrantor at the time of purchase. Minor variations in performance that do not materially affect functionality shall not constitute a warranty defect.
3. Warranty Period
3.1 Standard Warranty Period
The Warranty Period is warranty_period from the Effective Date, unless an extended warranty has been purchased as described in Section 8.
3.2 Commencement
The Warranty Period commences on the date of delivery to Customer, as evidenced by shipping records, delivery confirmation, or the Effective Date of this Agreement, whichever is earlier.
3.3 Repaired or Replacement Products
For any Covered Product that is repaired or replaced under this Warranty, the warranty on the repaired or replacement item shall extend for the greater of: (a) the remainder of the original Warranty Period; or (b) ninety (90) days from the date of repair or replacement.
4. Exclusions
This Warranty does NOT cover:
(a) Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, or failure to follow the Covered Product's operating instructions or maintenance requirements;
(b) Damage caused by unauthorized modifications, alterations, repairs, or disassembly performed by anyone other than Warrantor or its authorized service providers;
(c) Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, fading, and discoloration that do not affect functionality;
(d) Damage resulting from accidents, acts of God, fire, flood, water damage, lightning, power surges, earthquakes, or other external causes;
(e) Consumable parts, including batteries, filters, bulbs, fuses, and other items with a defined service life, unless the failure is due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
(f) Damage resulting from use of the Covered Product with third-party products, accessories, software, or services not approved or recommended by Warrantor;
(g) Damage resulting from operating the Covered Product outside of its specified environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, altitude, voltage, etc.);
(h) Any Covered Product with a removed, altered, or illegible serial number or identification label;
(i) Damage caused by improper installation, including failure to follow Warrantor's installation guidelines;
(j) Software issues, firmware bugs, or compatibility problems that do not result from a hardware defect (software support is governed by separate terms); and
(k) Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or obtained through unofficial channels.
5. Warranty Claim Process
5.1 Submitting a Claim
To make a warranty claim, Customer must:
(a) Contact Warrantor at [support contact information / support portal URL] within the Warranty Period;
(b) Provide proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, order confirmation, or registration record);
(c) Provide a detailed description of the defect or malfunction, including when the issue first appeared and any troubleshooting steps taken;
(d) Provide photographs or video of the defect if requested by Warrantor; and
(e) Obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization ("RMA") number before returning the Covered Product.
5.2 Inspection and Determination
Upon receipt of the Covered Product, Warrantor shall inspect the product and determine whether the defect is covered under this Warranty within fifteen (15) business days. Warrantor shall notify Customer of its determination in writing, including: (a) whether the claim is approved or denied; (b) the reason for denial (if applicable); and (c) the proposed remedy (repair, replacement, or credit).
5.3 Remedies
If the warranty claim is approved, Warrantor shall, at its sole discretion:
(a) Repair the Covered Product to restore it to proper working condition within thirty (30) days;
(b) Replace the Covered Product with a new or refurbished product of equal or greater functionality; or
(c) Issue a credit or refund equal to the original purchase price of the Covered Product (prorated based on the remaining Warranty Period, if applicable).
5.4 Shipping
Customer shall bear the cost of shipping the Covered Product to Warrantor's designated service center. If the claim is approved, Warrantor shall bear the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement product back to Customer via standard ground shipping. Expedited shipping is available at Customer's expense. If the claim is denied, Customer shall bear all shipping costs, including return shipping.
5.5 Data and Personal Property
Warrantor shall not be responsible for any data, software, or personal property contained in or on the Covered Product. Customer is responsible for backing up all data before submitting the Covered Product for warranty service.
6. Limitations
6.1 Exclusive Remedy
The repair, replacement, or credit provided under this Warranty constitutes Customer's sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty. This Warranty is provided in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
6.2 Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL WARRANTOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF USE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE COVERED PRODUCT OR THIS WARRANTY, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE). WARRANTOR'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY CUSTOMER FOR THE COVERED PRODUCT.
6.3 Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH IN SECTION 2, WARRANTOR DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO CUSTOMER.
7. Warranty Registration
Customer is encouraged to register the Covered Product at [registration URL] within thirty (30) days of purchase to facilitate warranty claims. Registration is not required to obtain warranty service but may expedite the claims process. Registration information will be handled in accordance with Warrantor's privacy policy.
8. Extended Warranty
Customer may purchase extended warranty coverage beyond the standard Warranty Period. Extended warranty options and pricing are available at [URL / contact information] or upon request. Any extended warranty shall be documented in a separate written amendment to this Agreement and must be purchased before the expiration of the standard Warranty Period.
Extended warranty coverage includes the same terms and conditions as the standard warranty unless otherwise specified in the extended warranty addendum.
9. Transferability
This Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the Covered Product. If the Covered Product is sold or transferred to a new owner, the Warranty shall be void unless Warrantor provides written consent to the transfer. Warrantor may charge a reasonable transfer fee.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of governing_state, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within thirty (30) days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in governing_state.
11. Consumer Rights
This Warranty gives Customer specific legal rights. Customer may also have other rights that vary by state, province, or jurisdiction. To the extent that any provision of this Warranty conflicts with mandatory consumer protection laws, the consumer protection law shall prevail. Nothing in this Warranty limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
12. General Provisions
(a) Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire warranty agreement between the Parties with respect to the Covered Product.
(b) Amendments: This Agreement may only be amended by a written instrument signed by both Parties.
(c) Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
(d) Notices: All notices related to warranty claims shall be directed to [Warrantor support contact information].
(e) No Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
